Cindy's
off and running! Starting very soon she'll be entering university
full-time in pursuit of a degree in veterinary medicine. What, exactly,
this means for GlasSlipper Cattery is anybody's guess. We're trying to
stay fluid, however. Our cattery has always been more than just a hobby
to the two of us. It's been an avocation, an obsession, a holy grail.
There's nothing we'd rather do than raise the absolutely best Siamese
cats possible and we're pleased that we're pretty good at it. But,
something's got to give. We've got two toddlers and, persuasive as we
can be we've not been able to convince them to move to South America.
Grant's health hasn't been the best for the last year or two.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look to be getting better any time soon. See
how the squeeze is on?
There's no way around it, we have to cut back. We had decided at one point to get out of cat breeding completely. Yeah, like that was really going to happen. We tried, honest we did, but we just can't do it. So here's the current plan, subject to change, as always. Cut back! We're reducing our numbers drastically. We're going to produce less than half the number of kittens we've had in the past. What this means for you, the kitten loving public, is this: our cats are going to be harder to come by. Sorry to say but the days of long waiting lists are coming back. If you're interested in acquiring one of our well-breed, highly sought-after pet kittens it would be a good idea to contact us as soon as possible and get on the list. If you're a breeder looking to add the GlasSlipper name to your pedigrees, call soon. We're still cutting back and have a few top quality breeding animals you might be interested in. Once they're gone we really have no idea how many breeding quality cats will be available since we'd rather sell pets when ever possible.
